Abstract:

To provide a treatment method of a used fluorescent tube, which carries out an efficient segmenting and crushing treatment of the used fluorescent tube, and at the same time carries out a dry scrubbing treatment by air blow relating to the cleaning of fluorescent powder, and its treatment apparatus.

The treatment method of the used fluorescent tube includes the steps of conveying the used fluorescent tube 1 by a conveying means 2, of segmenting the used fluorescent tube 1 into bases 1a of both ends and a glass tube 1b by a pair of rotating blades 231 and 232 provided above and below on both sides of a conveying passage of the conveying means 2 to crush the glass tube 1b, at the same time, of forming crushed pieces of the crushed glass tube 1b in a concentric cylindrical form with an inner cylinder 61 and an outer cylinder 62 with each peripheral surface constituted in a net-like shape, and of throwing in between the inner cylinder 61 and the outer cylinder 62 of a rotary cage 60 in which an input side is arranged higher to rotary-drive the rotary cage 60, and at the same time, of spraying air to the crushed pieces in the rotating rotary cage 60 to clean and remove fluorescent materials, mercury, etc. attached to the crushed pieces with air, to produce glass cullet.
