To provide a treating method of a silver halide photographic sensitive material having excellent maintenance property by which the replenishing amt. for fixing and the amt. of a waste liquid can be largely decreased, and moreover, contamination in the washing tank of an automatic developing machine can be largely decreased.

After a silver halide photographic sensitive material exposed according to an image is developed, the photosensitive material is fixed with a fixing liquid containing a thiosulfate and an aluminum salt, and further washed with water containing an oxidizing agent. In this treating method, the fixing liquid does not substantially contain a boron compd. A concentrated liquid or a solid agent containing at least one kind of crystallization inhibitor and an oxidizing agent is supplied while mixed with water to the washing tank after the fixing process in an automatic developing machine.
