Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collectively treat water-containing waste with high decomposition efficiency and to recover power and heat energy.
SOLUTION: A process (1) subjecting preheated water-containing waste to wet oxidation treatment in a first reactor at 150°C under pressure keeping a liquid phase in the presence of oxygen of which the amt. is equal to or more than a theoretical oxygen amt. necessary for decomposing a cyan compd., a nitrogen compd., an org. substance and an inorg substance in waste, a process (2) removing the sludge and/or metal component formed in the process (1) from the first reactor and a process (3) subjecting the high temp. and high pressure treated soln. obtained in the process to catalytic wet oxidation treatment in the presence of a catalyst containing at least one of metal and a metal compd. as an active component at a temp. higher than 100°C but lower than the temp. of the first reactor under pressure holding the treated soln. to a liquid phase are provided.
