Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a preparation for the prolonged treatment and prevention of endoparasite and ectoparasite by dissolving an abermectin compound in a part of triacetin, adding the remaining triacetin to the obtained solution and sterilizing the product. CONSTITUTION: The objective preparation is produced by dissolving a compound of the formula II [R1 is present exclusively when the wavy line is a single bond and is H or OH; R2 is an alkyl or an alkenyl; R3 is OH or OCH3 =NOR5 (R5 is H or a lower alkyl); R4 is H, OH or a group of the formula III (R6 is OH, NH2 , a lower alkylamino, etc.)] (e.g. ibermectin or abamectin) in about 80vol.% of a compound of the formula I, dissolving an arbitrary antioxidation agent (e.g. n-propyl gallate, BHA or monothioglcerol) in the obtained solution at a concentration of 0.01-2.0% w/v, adding the remaining part of the compound of the formula I and sterilizing the product. The preparation produced by this process keeps its activity over a long period.
