Abstract:

Triaza compounds of the general formula I (I) and their basic addition salts have good selective herbicidal and plant growth regulating properties when applied pre- and postemergence. In the formula, each of A1 and A2 is a homocyclic or heterocyclic aromatic radical such as phenyl, naphthyl, indanyl, imidazolyl, pyridinyl, pyrimidinyl, pyrazolyl or triazolyl, each of which is unsubstituted or mono- to trisubstituted, while only one of A1 and A2 may be a phenyl, naphthyl or indanyl radical, and each of R1 and R3 is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl and R2 is hydrogen or a cation.
