Abstract:
To provide a tribonectin and a method of tribosupplementation carried out by administering tribonectins directly to an injured or arthritic joint.
The tribonectin comprises at least one O-linked lubricating moiety which includes a β(1-3) Gal-GaINAc moiety. The method of tribosupplementation is a method for lubricating a mammalian joint, comprising bringing the joint into contact with an isolated megakaryocyte stimulating factor (MSF) gene product.
