PURPOSE: To provide a novel compd. which has antihyperalgesic and is useful for the treatment of the pains of an inflammation state, rheumatoid arrthritis, osteoarithritis, etc.

CONSTITUTION: This compd. is expressed by formula I (X is oxy, thio, sulfinyl, etc.; Y is carbonyl, methylene; R1 is H, halogen, trifluoromethyl, etc.; (m), (n) are each 1, 2; A1 is directly bonded to Ar, 1-6C alkylene, etc.; A2 is 1-4C alkylene, 2-4C alkenylene, etc.; Ar is halogen, nitro, cyano, etc.; G is carboxy; 1H-tetrazole-5-yl, etc.); for example, 3-(8-chloro-10,11-dihydrodibenzo[b, f][1,4]oxazepin-10-ylmethyl)benzoic acid. The compd. of formula I is obtd. by bringing the compd. of formula II and the compd. of the formula, Z-A1-Ar-A2- G (Z is a substd. group) into coupling reaction at -10 to 150°C in a solvent, such as DMF, in the presence of a base (e.g. NaH).
