Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a trim cover having an integral door cover for an air bag system not required to apply cutting to the bottoms of grooves.
CONSTITUTION: Three U-shaped grooves 42 are formed on a skin member 40, and the grooves 42 outline the flap 44 matched with the front edge section and the side edge section of a door back plate 32. Tear seams or weak lines for separating the flap 44 are formed on the grooves 42. The grooves 42 are formed without being applied with any cutting to the bottoms, and the grooves 42 applied with no cutting improve the beautiful external appearance of an instrument panel 10.
