PURPOSE: To provide a new trioxane derivative, adaptable to spectral sensitivity of a photomultiplier and usable as a detecting agent for various diagnostic agents, various luminous probes, emergency light sources, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The trioxane derivative of formula I (R1 is halogen, 1-10C alkyl, 1-10C alkoxy, carboxyl, OH, sulfonic acid cyano, amino or nitro; R2 and R3 are each a 1-3C alkyl; (n) is 0-11], e.g. 5-(1-chrysenylamino)-3-isopropyl-6,6- dimethyl-1,2,4-trioxane. This compound of formula I is obtained by reacting an aminochrysene derivative of formula II with an aldehyde of formula III and oxygen. The trioxane derivative of formula I is capable of producing the chemiluminescence by mixing it with a base. Furthermore, these properties are utilized to combine this trioxane derivative with the base to afford a kit product.
