Abstract:
A triplet state eliminator which is composed of a compound represented by general formula (1) and having a melting point of 25°C or more is capable of effectively eliminating or reducing the triplet excited state of an organic laser dye; and a thin film containing this triplet state eliminator is able to be uniformly formed by a coating method. In general formula (1), Z represents a substituted or unsubstituted ethynyl group or a substituent that is bonded via an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; m represents an integer of 1-8; R represents a substituent other than Z; n represents an integer of 0-7; and (m + n) represents an integer of 1-8.
