PURPOSE: To form the camera in a compact shape which has no projection and allows the camera easy to carry by forming a tripod part which can be detached by one easy step and the camera in a circularly-sectioned cylindrical shape which provides the feeling of togetherness in the longitudinal direction of the camera when the tripod is loaded.
CONSTITUTION: The subject camera is provide with a cartridge 5, a spool chamber 6 with a spool 7, a photographic lens 8 which is arranged between the cartridge 5 and spool 7, a battery 9 which is provided on the flank of the cartridge 5, an electronic flash device 10 and a finder 11 which are provided on the flank of the spool chamber 6, and a film feed gear train 12 which is arranged below the cartridge 5 and spool chamber 6 in a camera main body 1. In a tripod part main body 2, on the other hand, a tripod fitting base 15 provided with tripod shafts 13a - 13c supporting three legs 3a - 3c rotatably and pivotally is provided slidably and the three legs 3a - 3c can be put in/out. Consequently, the tripod can be attached to and detached from the camera by one easy step and the compact tripod which has good portability, operability, and practicability can be loaded.
