PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of refrigerant at a contact drive point of tooth so as to enhance efficiency in a trochoid type refrigerant compressor.
CONSTITUTION: This compressor is constituted in such a manner that an outer gear 2 is directly and mechanically connected to a drive shaft 1 to be driven for rotation and an inner gear 3 is meshed with the outer gear 2 to be driven for rotation. Accordingly, different from a conventional trochoid type refrigerant compressor in which the outer gear 2 is driven for rotation by the inner gear 3, a gap is not generated at a contact drive point of a tooth of the outer gear 2 relative to a tooth of the inner gear 3. Therefore, as a result of transmission of driving-rotation force at a contact line formed between those teeth toward a low pressure side of a compression chamber, sealing performance at the contact line is enhanced to prevent leakage of refrigerant compressed in the compression chamber to the low pressure side and efficiency of the compressor is thereby improved.
