Title:
TRYPTANTHRINIMINE DERIVATIVE AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECEPTOR USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3448411
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new derivative suitable as an electron transport agent, being made into an electrophotographic receptor excellent in sensitivity, durability and heat resistance.
SOLUTION: This tryptanthrinimine derivative is shown by formula I [RA to RH are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) alkoxy or nitro; RI to RM are each H, a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) aryl, a halogen, etc.] such as N-(2-isopropylphenyl)-2,6-dinitrotryptanthrinimine. The derivative is obtained by reacting tryptanthrin of formula II with tryptanthrin of formula III in a mixed acid of nitric acid and sulfuric acid to give a nitrated tryptanthrin of formula III and reacting the compound with an aniline derivative of formula IV.
