Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Tsunami countermeasure floating island having a chain-like floating body member of joining a large number of floating body members by a joining member to be settable even in weight endurable against a Tsunami and an end part floating body member arranged on both ends of the chain-like floating body member and joined to the chain-like floating body member by the joining member, by forming an air layer of a height of 5 meters or more as an essential constitution for buoyancy.SOLUTION: A Tsunami countermeasure floating island comprises: an air layer of a height of 5 meters or more (desirably, 15 meters) in an upper part; a chain-like floating body member of joining a large number of floating body members (for example, a floating body box body, a flowing body hollow box body, a floating body hollow bag body or a floating body hollow membrane body) indwelling seawater or fresh water for moving the center of gravity downward in a bottom part, by a joining member; and an end part floating body member joined to both ends of the chain-like floating body member by the joining member, and moving for preventing a Tsunami in Tsunami time.
