Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tsunami evacuation tower capable of ensuring safety evacuation even if stricken by a large tsunami exceeding the height of the tsunami evacuation tower.SOLUTION: The tsunami evacuation tower floating shelter is arranged so that, on a steel frame tower, a buoyancy chamber is formed, which has a base steel plate having a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape including styrene foam therein, and on the buoyancy chamber, a floating shelter is formed with the steel plate bent upward and welded, which has a polyhedron structure. When the evacuation tower is stricken by an extremely large tsunami, the floating shelter formed on the tower floats on the tsunami to enable evacuation.
