PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a water absorption amount to be increased without changing a diameter of an absorption tube or the like used in a fire fighting pump vehicle.SOLUTION: In a tube body including a slide layer 4a on its inner peripheral surface, and a tube body manufacturing method including winding an unvulcanized rubber sheet around a mandrel for vulcanization, on an inner surface of the unvulcanized rubber sheet, ultrahigh molecular-weight polyethylene particles are adhesively provided; the ultrahigh molecular-weight polyethylene particles are melted by heat in vulcanization; and on an inner peripheral surface of the tube body, the slide layer 4a comprising an ultrahigh molecular-weight polyethylene layer is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
