To operate a winding spindle in the whole operational revolving speed range with a large revolving speed spread by arranging a bearing device for supporting a clamping chuck on a spindle support, and allowing the bearing device to cooperate with the clamping chuck in the region of a support end section.
Two winding spindles 2, 3 are protruded and rotatably supported on a spindle support. The winding spindle 2 has a rotatable clamping chuck 18 to clamp a plurality of wound tubes 14 in sequence. The clamping chuck 18 of the winding spindle 2 has a support free end section 19 at the supported end section of the winding spindle 2. A bearing device 21 cooperating with the clamping chuck 18 is fitted to the spindle support concentrically around the support free end section 19. A bearing base 22 is arranged on a support end section 20 on the opposite side of the clamping chuck 18 at an interval with the end face of the winding spindle 2. The bearing base 22 is connected to the clamping chuck 18 via a pin 23 by shape coupling.
