Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular knitted fabric and a method for knitting the same in which two knitted fabrics separately knitted by using knitting needles of front and back needle beds can be knitted by all needle knitting into a tubular knitted fabric having end parts connected when a flat-knitting machine with four beds is used.SOLUTION: When a front knitted fabric belonging to FB of knitted fabrics separately arranged in the front and back is knitted in each course subsequently to setting-up, hook stitches for connection are formed outside a knitting width. In S7, while the fourth course of the front knitted fabric is knitted by using knitting needles C to L and c to l, hook stitches are formed on knitting needles B and M outside the knitting width. In S9, the first course of a back knitted fabric belonging to BB is knitted by using knitting needles c to l and C to L. In S10, hook stitches retained on knitting needles b and m of BD are transferred to the knitting needles C and L of FU and are laid on stitches retained thereon, so that the first courses of the front knitted fabric and the back knitted fabric are joined to each other by double stitches.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
