Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a desired fuse capable of exhibiting excellent heat characteristics by supplying a resin to fiber interwoven into a cylinder so as to continuously form a layer of twist yarn and the resin around a supplying surface of an applicator, thus constructing a fuse case. CONSTITUTION: An electric fuse device 10 comprises a fuse case 12 including a fuse element assembly 18 and consisting of a tube 22 with its inner structure made of paper and an outer layer 20, and metallic cups 14, 16. Fiber glass warp twist yarn 24 and fiber glass warp twist yarn elongated in a longitudinal direction are interwoven into a tubular shape, is supplied immediately before being interwoven with a thermocurable polyester resin by a resin applicator 62, and then, is cured while passing a heating die 74, thereby forming the outer layer 20 on the inner tube 22. The inner tube 22 is made of spirally wound fishpaper exhibits an excellent heat retaining property at a low cost, and enables a fuse to be speedily melted. The outer layer 20 can withstand breaking force at the time of the melting.
