Abstract:
To obtain a tufted carpet suitable for hard contract use such as passenger cars and passenger planes because of having high tensile strength and being free from lateral wrinkles, pattern skewness and pile unevennesses and the like.
This tufted carpet is obtained by tufting 1st pile yarns arranged with needle gauges of 1/8×25.4 cm (1/8 inch) and 2nd pile yarns arranged with needle gauges of 1/4×25.4 cm (1/4 inch) on a primary base fabric woven using multifilament yarns as both the warps and wefts, partially bound via an adhesive resin between the filaments constituting the wefts which, in turn, are bonded to the warp via the adhesive resin.
