Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-service life tungsten anode electrode for a short-arc discharge lamp turned on with DC such as a xenon lamp or an ultra-high pressure mercury lamp, hardly be recrystallized even if it is exposed to high temperature during a discharge, and having a minute recrystallized structure.
SOLUTION: This tungsten anode for the discharge lamp contains, in a total amount of 0.01-0.3 wt.%, one or more kinds among lanthanum oxide, yttrium oxide and cerium oxide, and the balance substantially tungsten.
