Abstract:
To provide a tungsten oxide photocatalyst which can exhibit high photocatalysis by being irradiated with visible light even in an environment without ultraviolet irradiation.
The tungsten oxide photocatalyst is composed of tungsten oxide particles and 0.03-5 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. tungsten oxide particles, Pt particles having a primary particle diameter of 3-20 nm and supported on their surfaces and is preferably one wherein the tungsten oxide particles have a D50 of 0.01-5 m when D50 is the particle diameter at a 50% cumulation from the finer particle side of the cumulative particle size distribution of their agglomerates, and have a primary particle diameter of 5-150 nm.
