Abstract:

To provide a turning ring which can be constructed in a structure of a large turning diameter with ease at low cost.

The turning ring is constituted by: an annular ring in which a plurality of rolling surfaces of rolling bodies is formed along circumferential direction; a plurality of slide blocks which is attached to the ring through a plurality of rolling bodies rolling on the rolling surface, and movable along a circumferential direction of the ring; and a plurality of covers which is arranged between mutually adjacent slide blocks along the circumferential direction of the ring, covers at least the rolling surface of the ring, and moves on the ring with the slide block.
