Abstract:

PURPOSE: To promote the efficiency of tunnel excavation work in correspondence with variation of facing by applying an NATM method by two drill carriages to a soft subsoil, and applying a ring-cut method by a shaft-loader to a poor subsoil.
CONSTITUTION: Lock-bolt holes for the upper half of a facing and the lower half of the facing are bored in the facing of a soft subsoil by four boring booms of two drill carriages to drive lock-bolts, and blasting holes are drilled to charge dynamite. After that, two drill carriages are sheltered to blast both facings at a time, muck is carried out to form the upper half of the facing and the lower half of the facing of a new mini-bench, and then, the same stage of work is repeated to excavate. A long boom bucket of the shaft loader is turned and moved back and forth against the facing of a poor subsoil to excavate the peripheral surface section of the upper half of the facing in the shape of an arch, and a core is left to the central part. Then, excavated muck is loaded on a carrying truck, and the ring-cut of the upper half of the facing is made up to,a shore electing position.
