Title:
TUNNEL LINING BY SEGMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04221196
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a tunnel lining method with little deformation by combining four pieces of segments in the circumferential direction to form one ring of lining part and arranging joints of the segments at parts to which the least bending stress is applied.

CONSTITUTION: Hexagonal segments 1 are arranged in zigzag in the circumferential direction of a tunnel. Next, the segments 1 are arranged in turn for assembling in such a manner that the front end 2 and rear end 3 of the segments are joined with each other. Since the segments are assembled in such manner, the upper peripheral part of the segment lining is subjected to positive bending moment due to the upper load, while both end parts are subjected to negative bonding moment due to side pressure. For assembling the segment lining, ring-to- ring joints 7 as the joint parts between the segments are arranged at parts of minimum deformation positioned on contact lines of the segments where these bending moments are least applied. With this contrivance, the segment lining with the least deformation in the circumferential direction can be provided.
