Title:
TUNNEL TIMBERING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3236568
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel timbering allowing smooth and efficient construction work for an excavated tunnel wall surface.
SOLUTION: Cutouts are provided in the bottom of the skin plate of a tunnel excavator and lower-layer piece members 1A are installed on the bottom face part of an excavated tunnel wall surface T exposed through the cutouts 14. Upper-layer piece members 1B are placed on the lower-layer piece members 1A and upper timbering pieces and top timbering pieces are connected in turn to the upper-layer piece members 1B to assemble a reduced diameter tunnel timbering A. Thereafter, the tunnel excavator 10 is advanced and fed relatively toward the excavated tunnel wall surface T from the skin plate 13 while the reduced diameter tunnel timbering A is left behind on the excavated bottom face part. Then the reduced diameter tunnel timbering A is increased in diameter and made to abut on the excavated tunnel wall surface T and the lower end face of each upper timbering piece is connected to the end face of each lower-layer piece member 1A.
