Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo fan capable of reducing noise without lowering the efficiency of the fan.
SOLUTION: This turbo fan 1 is so formed that an impeller 4 circumferentially provided with multiple vanes at equal pitches between a main plate fixed to a rotary shaft 3 and a side plate with a fan suction port opened in the center is installed on the exhaust side of a suction port 5, which is opened in a partition wall 8 partitioning the suction side 6 and the exhaust side, the suction port 5 is provided with a mouth ring 5 forming a restriction toward the fan suction port inside, and gas sucked through the mouth ring 5 by the rotation of the impeller 4 is discharged from the outer circumferential part of the impeller 4. A counterflow prevention ring 9 having a tip extending to the adjacency of the side plate of the impeller 4 is provided in the partition wall 8 in the circumference of the mouth ring 5.
