Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent oil from being overheated, by providing a radiating part in a retainer plate for clamping a center housing for supporting a turbine shaft, in the stepped open part of a turbine housing, to reduce heat transfer from the turbine housing to a bearing. CONSTITUTION:The flange 6B of a center housing 6, which supports the turbine shaft 3 of a turbocharger, is fitted in the stepped open part 4A of a turbine housing 4 and clamped by a bolt 9 and a retainer plate 10 (20). The retainer plate is provided with a radiating part 20C so that a high quantity of heat from the turbine housing 4 is dispersed to the outside. Heat transfer to the center housing 6 and a bearing 7 is thus diminished to prevent the damage of the bearing and the deterioration of oil.
