PURPOSE: To provide a turf-laying machine capable of surely sliding and transferring a cut turf by connecting a running machine body with a chute composed of a sliding face for guiding and dropping a cut turf on the ground and elastically supported on the main body and a feeding apparatus for laying the transferred cut turf on the ground.

CONSTITUTION: The objective turf-laying machine forms a lawn yard by laying cut turf mat formed in a prescribed form (e.g. rectangular form) on a ground. The machine is provided with a turf-storage apparatus 4 and a turf-holding table 5 at the back of a driver's seat 2 of the machine body 3 having an engine part 1 and the driver's seat 2. A chute 6 for guiding and dropping the cut turf 9 on the turf-holding table 5 toward the ground and a feeding apparatus A for successively laying the cut turf mats transferred by the chute 6 on the ground are connected to the running machine body 3. The sliding face 29 of the chute 6 for guiding and dropping the cut turf 9 is elastically supported on the chute main body 27. The cut turf can be surely slid and transferred and laid on the ground by this mechanism.
