Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten a bobbin space by transferring end face drop preventing guides and cutters from an inoperative position to an operative position opposed to a bobbin holder in a side of a traversing device, in the case of exchanging an empty bobbin position with a full bobbin.
CONSTITUTION: Positively opening/closing yarn chuck parts 7, 7' are provided in a space (t) formed between a plurality of bobbin holders 6, 6' arranged on spindles 4a, 4b of a turrent type winding machine. Cutters 19, 19' and end face drop preventing guides 20, 20' are provided so as to transfer-rotate between an operative position opposed adjacent to the yarn chuck parts 7, 7' in a winding yarn position and an inoperative position not interfering with packages P, P' on the bobbin holders 6, 6'. An air cylinder 22 for actuating these cutters and guides is provided to move the cutters 19, 19' and the end face drop preventing guides 20, 20' to the operative position in the case of exchanging full bobbins W1, W2 with empty bobbins W, W'.
