To provide a television program recording proxy system/method which correspond to capacity of recording information of a television program and charge a recording proxy use rate.
The system is provided with a recording instruction terminal 10 instructing recording of an arbitrary television program through a communication network 100 and holding recording information of the television program, a program reproduction terminal 20 obtaining recording information through the communication network and permitting a user view the television program and a recording proxy server 30 reserving recording of the television program designated based on the instruction of the recording instruction terminal, recording it, holding recording information, transmitting recording information designated based on a request of the program reproduction terminal and performing charging in accordance with capacity of recording information and a use situation.
