Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a twin wire former having mild dehydration action to enable the symmetrical dehydration of a paper between the top and the back faces and providing a paper having excellent balance between the top and the back faces in a high yield.
CONSTITUTION: This twin wire former having two loops of wires 3, 4 has the following constitution. A dehydration apparatus extending from the point to ground a raw material jet 2 to a couch roll 8 is constitution of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd dehydration apparatuses 5, 6, 7 leaving large curvature radii and arranged in a manner to slantly direct the wire run of the apparatus alternately to each other. The 1st and the 3rd dehydration apparatuses are placed in the loop of the wire 4 whereas the 2nd dehydration apparatus 6 is placed in the loop of the wire 3 and is made to be rotatable around the part near the rear end. A solid roll is used as the couch roll 8, a transfer suction box 9 is placed at the back of the roll and these couch roll 8, transfer suction box 9 and 3rd dehydration apparatus 7 are placed on a swing arm 13 to enable the rotation in a wire-setting operation.
