Title:
TWIN WIRE FORMER OF PAPER-MAKING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3040634
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to produce high quality paper at a high speed by enabling the operation of a twin wire former in both the modes of a gap former and a hybrid former and preventing two wires from winding air in their proximity travel route on the operation of the mode of the gap former, in the twin wire former.
CONSTITUTION: The characteristic of this twin wire former equipped with a wire proximity travel section for nipping and dehydrating a paper raw material solution 12 extruded from a head box with a top wire 2 and a bottom wire 1, both forming loops, respectively, is that a forming roll 4 for guiding the top wire 2 to the proximity travel section of the wires is disposed in the state capable of being moved toward the flow of the raw material solution 12. Thereby, the twin wire former can be operated in both the modes of the gap former and the hybrid former, and since the winding-in of air between the top wire 2 and the bottom wire 1 can be prevented without forming a wedgelike space therebetween, high quality paper can be produced at a high speed.
