Abstract:

To provide a 2-byte DNS system where a domain query can be in operation in other languages than English.

The two-byte domain name server system consists of a route server 10(RS) that decodes a domain query in other languages than English, uses a database(DB) that records DNs in other languages than English and their IPAs to retrieve an IP address of a corresponding domain for the reply and of a node server 20 that decodes the domain query, retrieves a cache memory DB, replies the query by seeking the IPA when the IPA is present, discriminates whether or not the query is made in other languages than English when not present, transmits the query to the RS when the domain query is made in other languages than English, transmits the result replied from the root server to a user system, records the IPA to the cache memory DB when the IPA to the DN comes from the RS and uses an existing English DNS system to transmit the result when the domain query is made in other languages than English.
