PURPOSE: To provide a two-compartment container manipulable by a single operation by assembling a first compartment having a neck section, a second compartment sealed and attached rotatably to the inside of the neck section a cap for the neck, a turning mechanism enabling a joint rotation, ring knife and a rotary-to-vertical motion conversion mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A container 10 consists of a bottom compartment 12, a top compartment 14, a cap 20, and a ring knife 18 inserted between the compartments. Filling the bottom compartment 12 with the liquid of interest and placing the knife 18 in a neck section 32 slide cams 66, 67, 68, 69 to the rear edges of ramp planes 40, 41, 42, 43. Slightly turning the knife 18 positions the cams and ramps to their bottommost point. When the top compartment 14 with a sealing film 16 is inserted, a spline 90 engages with a spline 64, and sealing beads 86 are press-fitted into a globe 92. After the top compartment 14 is filled with liquid, the cap 20 is screwed to the bottom compartment 12. A simple manipulation two-compartment container is thus obtained.
