Abstract:
To provide a two-layer woven fabric for papermaking provided with weft self-bonding yarn, thereby the bending stiffness in the width direction is increased, and the uniformity in the width direction of the produced paper is improved.SOLUTION: A two-layer woven fabric 1 for papermaking comprises: a papermaking surface side layer 2 including an upper warp yarn 4 and an upper weft yarn 5 interwoven into the upper warp yarn 4; a running surface side layer 3 including a lower warp yarn 6 and a lower weft yarn 7 interwoven into the lower warp yarn 6; and a weft self-bonding yarn 8 interwoven into the upper warp yarn 4 and the lower warp yarn 6, wherein the upper weft yarn 5 includes a first upper weft yarn 9 that is paired with the weft self-bonding yarn 8. The pair of the first upper weft 9 and the weft self-bonding yarn 8 complement each other to form one weft yarn line of the plain weave woven fabric structure of the papermaking surface side layer 2. In a section where the weft self-bonding yarn 8 weave the upper warps 4 a plurality of times continuously, the paired first upper weft yarn 9 constitutes a bending resistance section 11 passing under the plurality of continuous upper warp yarns 4, thereby the bending resistance section 11 functions like a beam or axis to increase the bending stiffness in the width direction of the two-layer woven fabric 1 for papermaking.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
