To provide a two-photon absorption color-developing material which develops color by non-resonant two photon absorption or a two-photon absorption light emitting material which emits light by non-resonant two photon absorption, and to provide a three-dimensional display or a three-dimensional recording medium using them.
(1) The two-photon absorption color-developing material has at least a two-photon absorption compound and a pigment precursor apart from the two-photon absorption compound, wherein the two-photon absorption compound generates an excitation state by non-resonant two photon absorption, thereafter, energy transfer or electron transfer is performed between the excited two-photon absorption compound and the pigment precursor and, thereby, the pigment precursor is structurally changed into a color-developed body. (2) Further, the two-photon absorption light emitting material has at least a two-photon absorption compound and a light-emitting body apart from the two-photon absorption compound, wherein the two-photon absorption compound generates an excitation state by non-resonant two photon absorption, thereafter, energy transfer is performed from the excited two-photon absorption compound to the light-emitting body and, thereby, the light-emitting body emits light.
