Title:
TWO PICTURE PLANES TELEVISION PICTURE RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5710586
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive television picture receiver having excellent quality by selectively inserting a subchannel video signal which has been sampled, into a part of video signal period of a main channel through a storage means consisting of a field memory plus a line memory and a controlling circuit.

CONSTITUTION: The first and second memory means 10, 11 are constituted of a field memory F for successively writing in one field portion of a video signal of a subchannel which has been sampled, and two line memories L1, L2, by which about one field delayed video signal is transferred alternately by one line on each transfer. A video signal is selectively taken out by one line on each fetching from each storage means 10, 11 in accordance with phase relation between the fields of each main channel and subchannel, through a controlling circuit 8, and is transferred, in order, to the third storage means 12. As a result, a signal of each one line portion is read out alternately in a prescribed small period in a video signal period of the main channel, and it is substituted for a part of its period and is visualized. In this way, it is possible to practically realize a two picture planes television receiver having an excellent quality, which has solved a reversal of a line by using an economical small-capacity memory.
