Abstract:
To allow a single serial video port to act also as an input port and an output port.
In the case that the serial video port acts as an input port, a serializing circuit 16 outputs a low level, a resistor 24 terminates a connector 26 and a serial digital video signal from the connector is given to a router 14 via a receiver 28. In the case that the serial video port acts as an output port, the serializing circuit 16 is enabled and the video signal from the router is directed to the connector via the serializing circuit 16 and a cable driver 18.
