Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV transmitting filter that offers high ultraviolet transmittance while reliably blocking visible and infrared rays.SOLUTION: A UV transmitting filter comprises a glass substrate and an optical multilayer film provided on a principal surface of the substrate. The glass contains each of P, Al, R (representing one or more of Li, Na, and K), R' (representing one or more of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, and Zn), and Cu. The optical multilayer film has an optical property corresponding to an average transmittance of 5% or less for vertical incident light of a wavelength in a range of 420-680 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
