Title:
ULTRA WIDE BAND TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3752673
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UWB (ultra wide band) transmitter and receiver which has a high transmission rate and an improved SN ratio.
SOLUTION: An echo polarity at a position corresponding to half of a chip period Tc is previously examined. When echoes have the same polarity and pulse signals having the same polarity appear successively, the chip period is set to be as short as Tc/2. Consequently, the transmission rate can be made high. Since the echoes and the pulse signals are overlapped with each other with the same polarity, the SN ratio can be improved.
