To provide an ultra wideband signal transmitting/receiving apparatus and a method thereof capable of performing efficient data transmission according to channel condition by forwarding channel information obtained from a received signal to a transmission section and changing a data transmission method in the transmission section by the channel information, contrary to an existing UWB transmitting/receiving apparatus.

Channel information capable of predicting the UWB channel condition is calculated using a UWB pulse signal received through the UWB channel, the data transmission method is changed according to the calculated channel information, a receiving section enabling the efficient data transmission according to the UWB channel condition, and the data transmission method is changed according to the UWB channel condition is provided. In this way, the data can be efficiently transmitted and received.
