The stream 312 of compressed multicomponent cooling fluid is indirectly heat-exchanged with suitable cooling fluid within a cooler 313, and next, it is sent through a multicomponent cooling fluid system of heat exchanger 301, and is cooled, being indirectly heat-exchanged with multicomponent cooling fluid. The stream 315 of the cooled multicomponent cooling fluid is sent from the multicomponent cooling fluid system of heat exchanger 301 to an expansion device 316, and is decompressed and cooled to low temperature. This way, at lest partially condensed multicomponent cooling fluid is sent to a regenerator heat exchanger 258 positioned to the high-temperature end of a regenerator 252.
