Abstract:
To provide an analytical method using an intra-articular ultrasonic search unit and wavelet conversion means for an articular cartilage.
In the intra-articular search unit whose leading edge is equipped with a unit for transmitting ultrasonic waves to a subject to be examined and a transmitter-receiver of ultrasonic waves reflected in the subject's body, visual indication of the cartilage and infrachondral bone as well as quantitative determination thereof that has hitherto been difficult can be performed in addition to evaluation of the thickness of the cartilage using an analytical system of converting an obtained A mode echo diagram into wavelets.
