An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 1 includes: an ultrasonic probe 2 that transmits ultrasound to a subject and receives a reflected wave from the subject; a puncture adapter that is disposed at the ultrasonic probe 2 and maintains a puncture needle inserted in the subject to be able to change an insertion angle to the subject; a display part 7 that displays the ultrasonic image of the subject according to the reflected wave received by the ultrasonic probe 2; an input part 8 that is performed with input operation by an operator; and a controller 9 that sets a region of interest in an ultrasonic image displayed by the display part 7 according to the input operation to the input part by the operator, and that makes the display part 7 display a puncture guide line that is a line that passes in the set region of interest and that guides the puncture needle maintained by the puncture adapter to be superimposed on the ultrasonic image.
