When the continuous operating time is inputted by the operator, a target value of a change in the remaining amount of a battery with time is calculated on the basis of the continuous operating time and the remaining amount of the built-in battery, which is detected by a remaining amount detection unit (S11); measurement depth and a measurement mode are set by the operator (S12); and it is determined whether or not the target value can be achieved with respect to the set measurement depth and the set measurement mode (S13). When it is determined that the target value can be achieved, an inspection parameter value is automatically set to achieve the target value, and measurement based on a power-saving mode is performed (S15).
