Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely set a representative point in a target tissue image contained in an ultrasonic image.SOLUTION: A selective cumulative addition processing is successively carried out from a left side region to a right side region (in +X direction) in a cross-sectional image 50, consequently forming a first energy map. Also, with the selective cumulative addition processing carried out from the right side region to the left side region (in -X direction), a second energy map is formed. Each selective cumulative addition processing is a processing in accordance with a kinetic programming, where a minimum pixel value is specified from the pixel value column possessed by the pixel column existing in the rear side in the processing direction of the target pixel. Then, by adding the minimum pixel value to the pixel of the target pixel, the pixel value of the target pixel is renewed in the processing. The first and the second energy maps are added, with an integrated energy map thereby formed. In the integrated energy map, the pixel having the minimum value is decided as the representative point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
