Title:
ULTRASONIC MACHINING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3918637
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic machining device capable of improving machining efficiency and reducing a futile use of abrasive grain liquid.
SOLUTION: In this ultrasonic machining device, a tool 9 is vibrated by ultrasonic waves, and a shape copying the shape of the tool 9 is formed on a workpiece 13 by transmitting the vibration to abrasive grain. The abrasive grain is supplied to the surrounding of the tool 9 together with liquid in a state of the abrasive grain dispersed in the liquid. When the tool 9 is vibrated, bubbles are generated in the abrasive grain dispersed liquid and the bubbles stay around the tool 9. The tool 9 is excited by an excitation means in a mode in which the abrasive grain dispersed liquid is held around the tool 9. The tool 9 is constituted to be mounted on a horn 23. Vibration of an ultrasonic vibrator (excitation means) 24 is transmitted via the horn 23. The horn 23 is constituted in a fan shape.
