Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a proper image for performing accurate paracentesis by arranging a second transmission/receipt mode in which a first area including a through passage for a centesis needle is scanned at a scanning beam density higher than that for a second area other than the first area in a scanning area.
SOLUTION: In a first transmission/receipt mode, a plurality of scanning beams 2 are spread uniformly inside a scanning region 3, while in the second transmission/receipt mode, a first area 31 including a through passage for a centesis needle 30 is scanned at a scanning beam density higher than that for a second region 32 other than the first region 31 in the scanning region 3. Alternatively, in a second transmission/receipt mode, the scanning region 3 itself is narrowed to the area equivalent to the first region 31, and the first area 31 constructed of the narrowed scanning region 3 is scanned. Switching between these modes is carried out by operating an operation element on an operation panel after sequence data corresponding to the modes are stored in a transmitting/receiving memory.
