Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an ultraviolet-curable compsn. useful for bonding a molded item of a thermoplastic norbornene resin to glass or metal by compounding a specific (hydrogenated)diene oligomer, a monofunctional acrylate monomer, and a photopolymn. initiator.
CONSTITUTION: This ultraviolet curable compsn. comprises a (hydrogenated)diene oligomer having a number-average mol.wt. pref. of 300-10,000 and both molecular ends modified with acrylate groups (e.g. an isoprene oligomer having both molecular ends modified with acrylate groups), a monofunctional acrylate monomer (e.g. 2-acryloyloxyethylphthalic acid), and a photopolymn. initiator (e.g. 1- hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone).
